Valerie Cumming received her MFA in fiction writing from the University of Michigan, and her stories have appeared or are forthcoming in more than twenty publications. Currently, she works as a freelance writer, teacher, and editor based in Columbus, Ohio, where she lives with her husband and four daughters. She is currently at work on a novel If the Past Has Taught Us Anything.
